For over 12 years, Wall Colmonoy has proudly supported the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation (MCSF), making a meaningful impact on the lives of many military families. One notable example is our engineering intern, Xezel Peshlakai.
Thanks to the MCSF, Xezel and his twin brother received scholarships to help pay for college, significantly easing the financial burden of their education. Beyond financial relief, the scholarship opened many doors for Xezel, including the opportunity to intern at Wall Colmonoy in Los Lunas. This experience has been particularly meaningful, as it brought him closer to family in New Mexico, a rare opportunity after years of moving due to his father's military service.

During his internship, Xezel has enhanced his technical skills and problem-solving abilities in a manufacturing setting. He's especially interested in automation and has explored various ways to make processes more efficient.
Through hands-on experiences and collaboration with the team, Xezel has gained valuable insights into the complex manufacturing process. He shared, "The most challenging and rewarding part is learning about the complex manufacturing process – from creating powders and pastes to delivering a finished product to customers."

Overall, this internship at Wall Colmonoy has strengthened family bonds and deepened Xezel’s interest, knowledge, and passion for engineering. He expresses heartfelt gratitude to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation and his father's dedicated military service, which provided him with these valuable opportunities, including his internship with us.
We celebrate Xezel’s journey and are inspired by his gratitude and determination to succeed in the engineering world.
