Cessna Citation 650 (Citation VII) Heat Exchanger Pre-Cooler, PN 9914402-1. Reversed engineered, recored and overhauled at Wall Colmonoy Oklahoma City.
Wall Colmonoy Oklahoma City has completed the reverse engineering, recore and overhaul of a Cessna Citation 650 (Citation VII) Pre-Cooler, P/N 9914402-1, restoring a critical component for continued aircraft fleet operation.
The work was carried out in support of Midwest Flying Service, operators of CE-650 Citation VIII aircraft used for organ transplant transportation.

Midwest Flying Service completes approximately 300 missions annually.
The Challenge
Midwest Flying Service identified a fleet-wide issue with the Pre-Cooler Heat Exchanger (P/N 9914402-1). No replacement units were available in the market, existing cores were beyond economical repair, and there was no OEM or aftermarket support for recore or new manufacture.
With no spares available, Midwest Flying Service required an alternative solution to maintain aircraft availability.
Reverse Engineering, Recore and Overhaul
Wall Colmonoy OKC completed a full reverse engineering of the Pre-Cooler core and developed a replacement solution based on existing core technology. The approach leveraged prior experience with Cessna Citation 560 (AQRDHX0001) and Citation 750 (AQRDHX0003) Pre-Cooler cores, and recore programs for MRO customers.
Design assessment by OKC’s engineering team confirmed similarities between the Citation 650 unit and existing core configurations. This enabled OKC to develop a replacement core using established manufacturing processes. The completed unit includes a newly manufactured core, recore and overhaul (OH) of the assembly, and vacuum aluminum brazed construction all done on site at Wall Colmonoy Oklahoma City.
Supporting Continued Operations
Completion of the Pre-Cooler provides Midwest Flying Service with a viable path to maintain their Citation 650 (Citation VII) fleet. This ensures continued aircraft availability, reduced risk associated with lack of spares, and ongoing support of time-critical organ transport missions.
Wall Colmonoy OKC Capabilities
