Nicrobraz® 5027 has emerged as the filler metal of choice for joining these components, offering longer durability, complete sealing of all surfaces, and enhanced performance for larger engines. Unlike crimping, which is cost-effective but less durable, brazing ensures a solid seal that lasts longer, particularly for larger engines. Brazing for these components is done in a specialized humpback belt furnace using a hydrogen atmosphere.
