Protect and Restore Your Glass Parts with Colmonoy® 200-Series Nickel-Based Hardfacing Alloys

Colmonoy® 200-Series alloys are used extensively in the Glass Container industry for repair and/or protection of castings or mould parts. Colmonoy® 200-Series include 225, 226, 227, 228, 229, and 234. The hard-surfacing alloys are nickel-based and can be deposited using the Wall Colmonoy Fusewelder™ Torch. Deposits of Colmonoy® 200-Series have high oxidation resistance and are easily furnished with a file or by grinding.

Colmonoy® 229 was specifically designed to be used with the Fusewelder™ Torch for glass mould components. Slightly harder than Colmonoy® 227, but slightly softer than Colmonoy 228®. Colmonoy® 229 is an excellent alloy for use on rings, baffles, and seams.
