Aerobraze - Its Beginnings

Written by Jim Nicoll | 7:31 PM on April 20, 2020

Aerobraze Engineered Technologies - Aerobraze or AET for short - was initially called Stainless Steel Processing Division of Wall Colmonoy.

In the 1956 of Colmonoy® Alloy News, it called for skilled workers for the research and production work normally associated with successful bright annealing, bright hardening and brazing operations to join the newly created Stainless Steel Processing Division. The division had plants located in Detroit, Los Angeles and Morrisville, Pennsylvania.

Today, our brazing processes are done under the brand name Aerobraze in Cincinnati, Oklahoma City, and Pontardawe, Wales (UK). Nicrobraz®, our trademarked nickel-based heat and corrosion resistant alloy, was and is extensively used to braze stainless assemblies.  Copper, silver, aluminum and other alloys are also used to join parts.  Still to this day, when brazed using Wall Colmonoy Aerobraze’s controlled atmosphere techniques, assemblies remain clean and bright with virtually no distortion, scale or oxidation. Below for what we do today and offer at our three Aerobraze locations.

Locations
